The month of November at Startup Grind is dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Although we celebrate diverse leaders all year round, during DEI Month we’ll be shining an extra bright spotlight on their lessons from the front lines and what it means to successfully fundraise.
Join us in recognising underrepresented founders from all over the world by hosting events featuring Black, Asian, LGBTQ, Neurodiverse + people with disabilities and making a commitment to “Diversify the Approach”.
What does it mean to “Diversify the Approach”?
This is somewhat up to your interpretation. Use this campaign tagline as a
guideline to craft your DEI Month event. This may mean themes like…
- Diversify how you approach funding (angels, VCs, DAO, etc)
- Diversify your community (perspectives of those you seek out for
advice/mentorship, etc; ie. our speakers) - Diversify your capital (ensure you have various revenue streams)
- Diversify your stakeholder base (find investors that reflect the
community, and vis-a-vis)
… and the list goes on.
